Location was perfect very close to park st and central Bristol . No outside noise at night nor in the hotel . Breakfast was superb a huge choice of meats , cheeses, cereals , toast and preserves, croissants, fresh juices, yoghurts and then the hot food including a traditional breakfast . Rooms were immaculate with a wonderful choice of hot chocolate , fresh ground coffee and loose tea . Teabags and sachets of tea and coffee are provided. Fresh fruit in the rooms are just an added bonus . Beds were wonderfully comfortable. All staff were very polite and couldn’t do enough , the breakfast staff were outstanding and were so very efficient ( 3/8/24) and so polite . The Washington was better than any travelodge or ibis or premier inn I’ve stayed in

I was welcomed by a lovely receptionist, I found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I really liked that there was complimentary fruit. I had a lovely meal in the hotel’s restaurant a few doors up. Again great staff and service. I was given a £10 voucher for my meal! What a treat! I was on the second floor at the top of a very twisty steep staircase. Fortunately staff very readily carried my heavy bag up and down stairs for me. I’m 74 and very fit for my age and managed the stairs easily but I doubt if many my age could. This hotel really could benefit from a lift. But all in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at The Washington for one night as we wanted to be near the O2 Academy for a concert. Location-wise - fantastic. Walking distance to many places. In terms of the room, we were surprised with how spacious and bright it was and well-equipped with a good selection of tea, coffee and fruits. The hot breakfast was excellent. The wifi was free and fast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was also convenient to have secure parking (£10 per night) at the back of the hotel as there aren't many parking spaces in Bristol. Overall, excellent value and would stay here again in the future. Highly recommend!

Friendly receptionist, lovely smile, extremely helpful, coming across as genuinely helpful, rather than just going through the motions. Very clean room, which was lovely and warm, once heating kicked in. Comfy bed, great pillows. Excellent sized TV. Plug socket next to bed, so it was conveniently placed to charge up phone, whilst still using phone. Free Wi Fi. Proper sturdy hangers in wardrobe. Portable heater in cupboard for use prior to automatic evening timer kicking in at 8 PM.

The staff were really really lovely. Breakfast room is more modern than the hotel which was a very pleasant surprise when we entered it for breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. The staff served us with a smile. Which goes a long way. If they could concentrate on updating the rooms just a little and sorting the bathrooms out, it would do great for them. The bath panel isn't a big thing to change and would have made the bathroom a little more appealing.
